Tie Dye Twists

Today we got picked up early from our YMCA camp. My mom got done with our horse vet early. Then she thought it would be fun to tie dye when we got home.

First we had to get out our supplies. We used dye, tupperwares, plain white shirts.

To create designs we wrapped them up tight and put twists and knots and marbles in. After that, you tie them tight then you soak them in the dye you want.

Here is mine soaking.

Here it is ready to rinse.

We didn't know how it would turn out but here it is.

Here are the other two we made. The first is my sister's:

My New Webkin

I am so excited. Today I got a brand new one and it is the Husky dog. When I went to a birthday party, I got a whole Webkin and trading cards in a goody bag. It turned out that I had that one, so the people at Hallmark we nice enough to exchange it. And then I got my husky. I named her Mia (like My-ah)when I got home.

Why do I like Webkinz? I like it because when you adopt your pet it looks even cuter on the computer. I like to play with my friends and their Webkinz.

Here are all the ones I have:
Flip - tree frog, Lily - bull frog, Periwinkle - spotted frog, Tigie - tiger cub, Mia - husky dog.

Can you tell I LOVE frogs? Real ones too!

More About That Owl

Can you guess where I took that picture of the owl? Nature walk? On a trip? At a zoo? An aquarium? Or in our neighborhood?

If you guessed the aquarium you are right. Look how very teeny tiny it really was. About as tall as my hand and that's all.

Try to spot him in the picture!

It is a small, small screech owl and is on the left side of the picture. It was not in a cage, so I don't know if it could fly. Mom was looking at the air plants and the orchids and I saw the owl! We did not know what a funny face he was making until we zoomed way in. His beak looks like a tooth!

I learned a lot about owls last year. One fact about the barn owl is that it has a white heart shaped face. Sometimes when my dad and I take a night walk we see some owls perched on the power lines.

Terrific Tampa Trip

Me and my family and my grandparents went to Tampa for my brother's birthday. My grandparents were visiting from Indiana so we were lucky they got to go too.

We stayed at a hotel called the Marriott Waterside. And they had a pool that was gigantic and it was outside on the third floor. We went swimming until 11:00 at night and I was up until after midnight!!!

The next day we went to the Tampa Aquarium. This huge cruise ship was there waiting to leave on a trip. It was called the Inspiration. This shows it when it is leaving the port.

Here is another picture so you can see how big it really is. The other ship is called the U.S.S. American Victory. You could take tours, we decided not go on it but it was neat to look at. That is my brother standing by the ships.

My First Blog Post!

Welcome to my new blog! I am going to share some of the fun things I do with my family and maybe some poems or stories I make up. Movie and book reviews would be fun, too, because I read a lot of books and go to the movies a lot.

I have a pet bunny named Wiggles, two horses at home named Koty and Dusty, a lot of cats, a hamster, lots of fish, and wild raccoons.

I am starting at the YMCA for the summer. I am excited about that because on Tuesday I am going to a local waterpark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
